As a collaborative effort to address the unique needs due to extended periods away from classroom instruction caused by COVID-19 in rural local educational agencies, the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) and the Central Indiana Education Service Center (CIESC), on behalf of ESC of I, were awarded a $4.8M GEER Grant to support device availability, connectivity and educator capacity across 30 Hoosier school districts.
The GEER landing page from CELL serves as a hub of information for the designated GEER schools to learn everything they need to know about:
- What expenses are covered by the grant
- Where to find free professional development
- Information on the expenses-paid summer Keep Indiana Learning conference
- Information on scholarships for online supplementary high school courses
